It will be Teutopolis against St. Anthony for the softball regional title.

The No. 8-seeded Lady Shoes earned a spot in the championship game by posting an 8-6 victory Wednesday over No. 2 Pana in a semifinal game of the St. Anthony Class 2A Regional.

The two teams will square off at 4 p.m. Friday at Bulldog Field.

The winner of that game will advance to the Monticello Sectional.

Malea Helmink homered and drove in four runs and Olivia Hemmen added three hits and three RBI, leading T-Town to the semifinal win.

And the Lady Shoes struck quick. In fact, after their first four batters, they led 3-0. Olivia Copple singled, Summer Wall doubled and both runners scored on a double by Helmink. Chloe Hoene then followed with an RBI single. With two outs, Hemmen brought in the fourth run with a sacrifice fly.

Hemmen had RBI doubles in both the third and fifth and Helmink belted a two-run homer in the sixth to wrap up the scoring.

Alyssa Tipton pitched the first five innings to get the win. She allowed four hits and five runs, while walking five and striking out eight. Hemmen pitched the final two innings.

The Lady Shoes, winners of four straight games, improved to 17-17.
