The St. Anthony Lady Bulldogs tennis squad continued its winning ways Tuesday, posting a 7-2 victory at home over Olney.

No. 1 singles: Emilee Mossman (SA) defeated Zoe Alexander (O), 6-0, 6-0; No. 2 singles: Allison Kowalke (SA) defeated Riley Doll (O), 6-1, 6-1; No. 3 singles: Averee Greene (SA), defeated Paige Steber (O), 6-1, 6-1; No. 4 singles: Catherine Willenborg (SA), defeated Kiersen Brach (O), 6-0, 6-1; No. 5 singles: Caroline Deters (SA) defeated Abigail Atwood (O), 6-4, 6-1; No. 6 singles: Jocelyn VanMatre (O) defeated Madelyn Smith (SA), 6-3, 6-7, 10-4; No. 1 doubles: Greene/Kowalke (SA) defeated Alexander/Doll (O), 6-0, 5-7, 10-0; No. 2 doubles: Mossman/Willenborg (SA) defeated Steber/Brach (O), 6-2, 6-0; No. 3 doubles: Atwood/Inskeep (O) defeated Caroline McDevitt/Smith (SA), 2-6, 6-0, 13-11.

The Lady Bulldogs will play Saturday in the Bloomington Invitational.

The St. Anthony Lady Bulldogs got challenged a bit Thursday, but came away with a 6-3 tennis victory at Robinson.

St. Anthony won four singles matches and two doubles matches to post the win.

The Lady Bulldogs will compete in the Springfield Sacred Heart Griffin Invitational Saturday.

Emilee Mossman and the doubles team of Allison Kowalke/Averee Greene won their flights and helped the St. Anthony Lady Bulldogs to a second place finish Saturday in the Central Illinois Girls Tennis Invitational, hosted by Springfield Sacred Heart Griffin in Springfield.

The Lady Bulldogs finished with 30 points and a close runner-up to SHG, who had 31.5 points. There were 13 teams entered in the tournament.

Mossman went 4-0 to win the No. 1 singles title. And she did so in dominating fashion, failing to lose a single game in four matches. Catherine Willenborg finished 3-1 in No. 2 singles and Caroline Deters was also 3-1 in No. 3 singles.

Kowalke/Greene also won four straight matches to emerge as the champions in No. 1 doubles. The duo dropped just one set overall. Caroline McDevitt and Madelyn Smith then teamed up to go 3-1 and finish third in No. 2 doubles.

The Lady Bulldogs are in action at home today (Tuesday) against Olney.

The St. Anthony Lady Bulldogs opened their dual meet tennis season in dominating style Saturday, posting a 9-0 shutout at home against Casey-Westfield.

The Lady Bulldogs didn’t lose a set and dropped just 20 games total in 18 sets.

The St. Anthony junior varsity squad also won by an 8-0 score.

The Lady Bulldogs will play Thursday at Robinson.
